thanks for replying. I've taken a print of checklist of NDTV link posted by Bhardwaj. Its exhaustive. I was supposed to take the delivery today by 4-5PM but becoz of RTO registration, it was delayed and dealer called me to come around late evening 7PM for the delivery. Thankfully I went through the checklist and called dealer to reshedule delivery for tomorrow afternoon (day time)

In my last visit to the showroom, I found problem in Clarion music system of Vista Quadrajet whereby I was not able to jump mp3 albums of CD and pen drive through remote control. Sales guy was not aware of this feature and will revert on this.

Does any of you guys know how to toggle between albums with vista music system (Clarion).

P.S. I found Vista coming with Blaunpanc system has this feature.

Yes, there is no option to change the album/folder with the remote of the Clarion. The only option available is to jump to the first album/folder. I guess you are aware of changing folder is possible in the music system's control.

Don't be in a hurry while taking delivery. What is the OTR price? Did you get free offers from the dealer?

ok, so here is the rest of the story. I took a print of delivery checklist and went to showroom to take delivery around 12:30pm. Although the car in the showroom was looking really nice in the first sight, a careful examination revealed a tiny black spot of paint worn out on the left front bumper(probably handling issue) and similar two beneath the bonnet. Dealer agreed to fix them and put a note on the delivery note to get it fixed at the workshop free of cost. Anyways, that was not showstopper. I checked remaining items and found everything proper. No AC problem. Dealer told me that all models delivering after May 2009 has got earlier AC problem fixed. No problem found in fuel meter, tachometer, music system etc. I test drove the car again with the sales person and found to be at my satisfaction.

I got the Aura QJET with OTR of 5.15 Lacs. The total discount was around 24,000 including free insurance. I did not choose extended warranty and saved around 5,000. The freebies included teflon coating, matting & Sunfilm. Overall dealer experience was nice. Iam uploading some pics of the car. Thanks for the guidance.

I feel you should have opted for extended warranty, as most of the parts are covered under it. And if you plan to go for extended warranty later on, the rate increases accordingly. Check this link for details.

Thanks. I think I should go in for extended warranty. Anyways the rate for 0-30 days would still apply to me. 

Update: I took delivery of my Indica VIsta Quadrajet Aura on 5th November, 2009 from Wasan Motors, Chembur. Car was driven 67.5 Kms till the date of delivery. The Delivery process was very smooth. Wasan Motors staff explained everything to me & gave demonstration of all motoring controls. As I mentioned earlier, Wasan Motors, Chembur gave me Mud Flaps, Sunfilm, Floor Matting & Autocop TKE 4180 as freebies apart from Fre Insurance as per scheme.

But after reaching home, I noticed the following in detail:

1. Date of Delivery on Onwers' Manual was 31.10.2009 eventhough I took delivery on 05.11.2009. But On Delivery note, they have specified date of Delivery as 05.11.2009.

2. Date of Tax Invoice was given as 31.10.2009.  Wasan claim that the Date of Invoice should be the same date on which car is registered & payment is received. I agree that the payment was received by Wasan was 31.10.2009 and on same day car was registered. But as per my knowledge, Tax Invoice should be prepared on the date of delivery.

When I raised this issue with delivery section of Wasan motors, Chembur, staff was speechless. I have already sent my complaint to Rajiv Dubey, President (Passenger Cars) of Tata Motors & their Regional Office in Mumbai. Lets see what's their opinion.

Till date, I have driven 300 kms. The cooling system is excellent at any speed. It chills the room within 5 seconds. As I was allotted Sweptember Model, I have Blankput Music System in my Vista. This music system comes without Remote Control. But it is far more better than Clarion, which was fitted in earlier Vistas. I hear noise when brakes are applied at any given speed. This noise come from Front left side.Now a days, fan has also started making noise at lower speed. I am going to raise these issues on my first service. I have restricted my speed limit to 65 km/hr as car is new. But I noticed Over Pick-up of my Indica Vista. It become very difficult to control car once i start as it pick up the speed immediately with very low accelaration. As far as Gear Shifting & Power Steering are concerned, it is excellent. I have read many reviews on problem while shifting 2 nd to 3rd. but I have not across with such problem at all.

Overall I am very happy with the performance of the car till the date.

Yes Sachin. Now a days Indica Vistas come with Blaunkput Music System. I have September manufactured Quadrajet Aura & it has Blankput Music Sytem. It is without Remote Control. But quality is much more better than Clarion. In addition to this, it adds a better look to interiors.
