Some car comes with a remote access to the boot through the arm rest, personally i have found this to be good feature.

Arm rest for resting 'arms'-never used!

I agree thats one useful feature, bypassing the efforts to open the boot to keep small articles...Innocent

Probably i would dump everything that keeps lying here and there...[except the passengers]LOLzLaughing

IMO Arm-rests are more a safety feature.  On a pleasant day driving with windows rolled down, Passengers and Drivers tend to rest their arms with elbow jutting out of the window.  I too had this habit (Australian Driving style?!) while driving M800, of resting my right hand on the window with my right elbow jutting out.  Now, in Santro,  I keep my right arm on the arm-rest! Quite comfortable.

Never mind what others say, do whats right for that moment!

Selva i guess the discussion is on the central rear arm rest and its merits and demerits. For sure the door arm rest are a real boon.

If only two people are using the rear seat the arm rest is useful (exception is honeymoon couple)

But when third person is to be accomodated it is a problem. Because of the arm rest the center seat becomes somewhat stiff and the person sitting here suffers.
