hi Shaji first of all if your planning to buy a new car i suggest you to wait for two more months as you will get an 2010 manufacturing and registration this is very important as it will fetch you some extra value while selling,

so I20 fun car to drive in the city but tell you its not so spacious compared to fabia , but where as fabia has the looks i feel its much better then I20 but also maintenance cost high and costtly then i20 .

if your usage is more than 50km i suggest to buy a diesel car and go for swift or punto.

i20 should be the best option. Its good after sales service and resale value paves way for it.

@Shaji,

stay away from fabia/skoda as the maintenance/ASS is expensive and pathetic, since you have a limited budget, go for a good premium hatchback instead of an entry level sedan. As you need a good petrol car, your primary options are Maruti and Hyundai (Better petrol engines compared to others). And you already ruled out swift and now you left with i10, Ritz and i20. i20 has the best in class looks and luxury with decent performance, but overpriced. (i20 Magna price is higher than the fully loaded Ritz). But if you are ready to give the extra money for the looks, go for i20. I guess i20 Magna fits your budget.

Hi,

My daliy commute us around 55 km..i am not sure if i should go for a diesel or petrol car..i20 Magna looks good..i hear that diesel cars have issues like high care and maintenance + low pickup..only + for diesel is the mileage.. hence dropping the plan...am i correct in doing so?
