One of my mechanics told me to use a sachet of shampoo in the wiper fluid . I tried it it gives good results. Only one has to take care to dissolve the shampoo in water before putting it in.

I took this snap during my recent Mysore trip on Chamundi Hills.  Seen in the background is Lalit Mahal Palace [a star hotel now].

I came to know about another novel feature in Fiat Linea from another forum and I successfully tried it just now:  If I want to switch on parking lamps only on one side, i.e., either right or left when the car is parked, after switching off the engine, operate the direction indicator stalk to the desired side, and then, turn on the parking lamp.  Wow! Parking lamp only on the desired side is lit up both in front and rear!  As usual, this feature is also not mentioned anywhere in the owner's handbook.  It goes without saying that the sales executives at the dealerships are not even aware of this novel feature.

We visited Nandi Hills recently.  Here are some pics:

On our way back, we saw our ancestors, who were kind enough to give us pose:

Nice pics Ravi.

Ranjan - Since last 6 years, I've been using plain water & 2-4 drops of shampoo / sachet or handwash for the wiper fluid tank. Thats the easiest & most effective way & works excellent

Thanks for the tips. One thing I observed when I sent my car for servicing is that they wipe the car with diesel and then shampoo it. On my inquiring they told that it removes greasy stains easily.

Diesel would take a bit of the polish also along with the road tar, so be careful about the frequent use of the same.

You mean it removes polish too. So I will have to repolish the car now. 2-3 hours of exercise.......
