Red callipers & chrome ORVMs cover looks too good. Why dont you go for tints(50% visibility) for the windows..?? I guess it will complete the look.

Thanks, arnv.  Personally, I don't like sun films as I don't want to travel in darkness especally in the night.  I didn't have them even in my previous vehicles, MS Omni/Versa. Because of transparency, I didn't face any problem in Chandigarh, Punjab and J&K, where the breach is considered very serious from security pov.  

Yup thats true, Chandigarh & J&K are very strict in this regard. I have 50% ones on mine & its almost similar to 35%, not much of a differnece. But , i do understand your viewpoint.

Yesterday, I received 3 FIAT mugs from Partsworld UK. I placed my order on 2 November 2011 and paid Rs 5124.44 through my PayPal account using discount coupon code of FF010. Out of the three mugs, one is reserved for my 3-year old Australian grand daughter, who is visiting here next month. If my Linea's key chain with FIAT logo is shown to her on Skype, she would say, 'Thatha's FIAT car!' as she likes her Thatha's blue car.

The cups look cool Raviji,obviously Fiat did not stock these in India,otherwise,people would cry from roof tops-expensive spares!!!!!

I doubt if there is anything left in Fiat's cupboard for you to own!

Thanks, Bala, for the compliments.  I think white mugs with FIAT logo are available with FIAT dealers. But, I like these cute red ones. I take my daily quota of green tea with this red mug. My morning and evening filter coffee is still with the traditional dabara and tumbler.

The maintenance cost of ownership of my Linea after the fourth paid servicing including replacement of engine oil, all fluids, spark plug and brake pad set and wheel balancing and alignment works out to Re 0.53 per km of 35,432 km done. Here are the details:

It's time for little update.

Today, my Linea visited Concorde Motors, Mysore Road and got repaired FOC the faulty rear left window winder switch which got disconnected.  The SA removed the switch, pulled back the wire, connected it to the switch, refitted the switch in its place and it worked. 

The SA was aware of GC upgrade kit for Linea/Punto being discussed in FB.  He said there were a lot of serious enquiries but they are yet to get official instructions from FIAT India regarding the modalities to be followed.

BANGALORE>CHENNAI>PONDY>BANGALORE TRIP IN 2 DAYS

I drove in my Linea for about 1000+ km in two days comprising Bangalore>Chennai>Pondicherry>Tindivanam>Vikravand i>Tindivanam>Bangalore.

Left my Bangalore [Basaveswara Nagar] home on 4 Feb 2012 at 11:25 pm and reached Chennai [Royapettah] home on 5 Feb 2012 at 4:45 am. Took rest, finished my works and stayed there.

We left Chennai home on 6 Feb 2012 at 3:10 am and reached Pondicherry at 5:10 am. Attended a marriage, visited Manakula Vinayakar temple, filled petrol at Ashram BP pump, had lunch at the marriage hall and reached Tindivanam. We left Tindivanam at 3:30 pm after completing my work there and reached Bangalore home by 10:30 pm with one hour break as BP COCO Ghar Dhaba A2B, Chinnar near Krishnagiri.

Petrol cost Rs 64.25 at Ashram BP pump at Pondicherry and Rs 69.94 at BP COCO pump at Chinnar.

Road-widening works from 4 lanes to 6 are in progress on Hosur-Krishnagiri-Ranipet section on NH 7/46. There is no shoulder available in these sections as they are barricaded making driving in those sections very scary.
