Hi Sandy.

I am reaching 50k.

In short, Maintenance is Cheap.

Service cost: last service 40k kms costs 2211/-

If someone is saying its very costly, I dont think he is using Fiesta. Keeping in mind old image of Ford is not worth. Maintenance is cheap and infact I feel its cheaper than a Swift VDi. Dont know the story after 5 years but the way Ford is reducing price, expect more cheap maintenance from Ford.

Ride & handling is the best. I touched max. 153-154kmph and car was damn stable. Test drive the car.

Regular service is pretty cheap. As far as Spares are concern, regular spares are cheap. My car is still under warranty (extended warranty). No other expense till date since June 2007. Regular service only (interval of 10k). Will post detail of 50k kms service before Diwali.

@Sandy

Why you want to go for diesel car.

Whats your approx. monthly usage / run in km.

If your monthly run is less you can get more features in petrol car as diesel car price is more by 90,000 rupees.

In petrol one can go for Linea, Aveo 1.4L/1.6L, fiesta,SX4

I am using Fiesta 1.4 TDCi Exi (base).

You can check the pics in my album.

Prefer diesel as initially you may feel that car is a bit expensive but in long run your usage will increase for sure. Generally calculations fail after buying Car.

Anything over 1000kms per month, prefer a diesel. Infact if your usage is little bit less then too you can use a diesel as its fun to drive too + very economical. On highways you will easily get around 21kmpl.

Hi

Check this link

Fiesta is a great car.I own one already

But is lost its prime I would suggest u consider Linea 1.3 Mjd Active or dynamic which are both i n ur budget.

Do test drive both and decide

Comparision

For Linea

Prerana motors is good fiat dealer in Banglore

U can get corporate discount upto Rs 6000 to 8000.

Freebies u can get are floor mats, boot mats, teflon coating or antirust coating  and may be sun film.

Fiat Grande Punto 1.2 Active( Thane ) ex-showroom price Rs 415664

Add to that road tax

2+2 extended warranty is a must Rs 5,500(freely given dewaali offer)

Lostics and handling charges Rs 4,500

Get the registration done by ur youself as u will save a lot of money

Get the insurance and loan directly as u will save a lot of money.

Axis bank(8%) and SBI are providing good intrest rates. So visit the bank directly for the loan.

At present Bajaj Alliance and Tata AIG are leading in the insurance. So visit there respective websites and ask for a quote directly. You will save Rs 5000 atleast.

Note I am no way assoiated with any of the above mentioned ones.I have mentioned what i did when i bought my Punto in Hyderabad.Hope it will be useful for u.
