Gurpreet  thanks for the update and good to hear that you had a safe trip.

Coming to the issue at hand-there might be a confounding factor somewhere. Either of the pump air pressure gauges might have been wrong or on the return trip the car might have been lighter and also faced less load-like AC usage(as in less).

Hard to fathom a 4kmpl increase in FE with a 2PSI increase in air pressure!!

Sorry for quoting (last time I got a msg about Not to quote)

I want to clear my mistake, Actually I got 15 KMPL milage when I filled 30psi air in all four tyres. AND I got about 17 KMPL milage after filling 32Psi air in all four tyres.

Thanks and Regards

1. not AFTER replacement, except check if the tyre is securely fixed. (Stand on the lug wrench for each lug nut briefly to ensure this) The major check BEFORE the puncture is ensuring the spare tyre is inflated properly - Make it a practice to inflate the spare along with the running tyres each time you fill/check air.

2. Of course, but replace the spare with a new tyre ASAP. Also have a second opinion about whether the damaged tyre is really a goner.
