Hello Everyone..!!!!!

Myself Arun from Baroda (Gujarat). I'm going to buy a my first car and my final choice is between Maruti Swift LXI or Maruti Ritz LXI (Both are petrol). But, right now I m in big confusion and i can’t take decision for which car i go....???

I taken test drive of both car and both the cars are an amazing to drive, pick up, Performance, Foot Space, Front and Back Space are also good...but Swift is running very smooth on roads and running very fast compare to Ritz......!!!!!But we can't negotiate performance of Ritz also...it's also a gud car in every aspects...main thing is Ritz have with Euro engine and giving around 17km/ltr mileage compare to 14km/ltr mileage of Swift (I am not sure what is the exact mileage of both the cars. I m just saying on paper review).

So, Can u please suggest me that for which car i have to go as Ritz have already an Euro engine...and swift do not have this engine....!!!!!

If my final choice will be a Swift then shall i wait for New Swift with Kseries engine....????Can anyone tell me what will be the advantage of new Swift kseries engine over Swift current engine....and main thing is how long I have to wait for this new launch…???? is it related to more pickup or performance pr what...please tell me...it's urgent and important for me.......!!!!

Please give me ur valuable suggestions on my question and let me help to select my nest car.........!!!!!!

Thanks,

Arunsinh

The Swift will not match mileage of the Ritz. If you like both cars, Ritz should be choice.

You can always wait and there will always be newer cars   Ritz is new already and has very fresh looks and rave reviews. In my view, at this point in time, the Swift is not a great buy as compared to the Ritz because the new Swift is in the making.

Just note a friend of mine has bought Ritz it has been sometime the car's average is around 12 KMPL only...So i would suggest dont choose ritz only for Milage. Even I was surprised......But lot of times these milage & new type of engine are just marketing stratagies only. Kappa you would check also has similar average only...Also I would say don't go for LXi small things like power windows & other things make a huge difference & cost difference is not too much....Also consider I10 magna in place of LXI.....My views but decission is yours.

Hi dear,

I am also confused between ritz Zxi & Swift Zxi. My worry is that ritz is a new car and shape is not very good. So if in future the car flopped then how will i sell my car after 3-4 years.

Hi

I dont think ritz is a flop it sell 6000 cars per month out of which 70 % are petrol

U would not have resale value problems with Maruti

Swift's engine is trusted.

If I have to pick most probably I'll pick Swift coz engine is really cool. No problem at all! Ritz... If I have to pick between Swift & Ritz, I will again pick Swift for looks.

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

Even I had the same confusion before deciding on Ritz. Advantage of Swift over Ritz, is the looks, again it is subjective.

So if swift is coming with a new K-series engine, i think some face lift too may happen, like better interior and some more cool features. Now with punto, i20 and jazz etc prices of premium hatch backs are going up and people started accepting it. So if swift is coming with a face lift, price may go up. But no solid information anywhere. Also possible that the upgrade could be just a BS IV tuning, which doesn't make any difference in looks or mileage. So waiting for Swift makes sense only if you are not in a hurry.

Regarding Ritz, its a very good to car to drive and own, mileage lot depends on the driving but, as per my knowledge almost all Ritz owners i know are getting mileage not less than 11 (city) - 16 (highway).

So if you are very much interested in Swift, just Wait ... i'm sure it's gonna be a 'all new' swift .

Hi i am gagan from Delhi.

I have decided to buy ritz ZXI between swift & ritz. But still i have one doubt. if swift will come with new BSIV & new version then swift will be a better deal. This doubt arises becoz swuft is giving lots of ads on tv now a days. If a car is selling with booking of 2 months then what is the need for Ad. There is no ad for ritz.

I can Confuse you by saying ,you wait till feb 2010,Swift will be sporting the same engine as that of the Ritz i.e KB series.

But is it worth waiting for that car that long?

I say you go ahead for the RITZ PETROL,Just ignore the bad mileage as somebody has wrongly pointed out.

You cannot Decide the mileage of a vehicle form one customer.

Lets not do injustice.

Ritz mileage is top notch, cant give you Estilo like mileage! 17kmpl in city with ac but yes Its very well in between 14-16kmpl.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
