I have a ford Ikon; the AC compressor has started giving problems recently. The dearlership guys are saying it would cost around 50K. Can anyone get me a fare deal
AC compressor can be overhauled,please take a second opinion.Overhauling would be way cheaper than buying new one.

Its always better to take your car to authorised Ford service station instead to a local garage.Please go to diffrent service stations and get an estimate from them.
Omkar - read the first post - the dealership is asking 50k, and the problem starts from there... An alternative is surely needed.

Well have spoken to two dealerships; they are quoting the same. I am surprised how an AC compressor can cost so much....

Ok,sorry to here that.Please try searching a local AC mechanic(they can overhaul the compressor).Just make sure it is reliable and reputed.Good luck
