There was some information that most mechanics at Fortune Powai are from Anuroop Fiat which was located at Goregaon. I had the best service expereince with Anuroop when I had my Palio.

Yes. I confirmed it with them when I got oil change in my Linea. There is an entire team of Anuroop at Fortune, Powai. And my experience with them is better than my earlier experiences at Wasan, Kandivali

Fiat's have always been driver's cars. I drove down to Lonavala yesterday to Sunny da Dhaba for dinner. The Grande Punto makes you drive just for the heck of it!

The drive was absolutely fantastic. Every time I drive the Grande Punto on the highway, it amazes me with it's stability and surefootedness. So sure is the car that the drive can border on being boring - in a good way! The car is a blast to drive and with over 6500kms on the odo the engine has freed up really well. With A/C on and the wind against me, the Punto scampered to 110-120kmph very easily and stayed there effortlessly. The drive to Lonavala was with A/C on full time while the drive back was without A/C.

Overall mileage for this trip was 23.2Kmpl.

Thats amazing average Amit.

My Punto is just 1000km old now, so it's not yet freed, but I've experienced the +ve points mentioned by you above. Cheers.

At what ODO reading can I expect my Punto to get "freed up" ? I've driven around 1600km but yet to observe the reduction in engine noise and the engine freeing up.

Maybe a couple of more highway trips should do the trick

I did a trip to wayanad recently, about 730 km. She was outstanding on the highway stretches. Ride , stability and handling was par excellence. Portions of roads were bad, but she handled the potholes and broken terrain well.

The engine noise will reduce noticeably after first service i.e 3000km/3months whichever is earlier. This is the car's run in period. Dont revv harder than 2500rpm till at least 2000km on ODO.

What kmpl did you get on your trip? What about average FE in city with a/c?

Honestly, I don't check the mileage. Will start doing so and post the figures.

I still have to learn using the trip-meter ;)

Something I noticed yesterday while driving at midnight.

98.3 Radio Mirchi was playing on the stereo. The MID screen started showing the names of the songs being played. Seems pretty normal. Then the RJ playing clips of songs that would be played in the next half hour. The MID started flashing "Coming Up Next (song name)". Anyone else noticed that? Also, later I noticed that whichever song was playing the screen was flashing "Now playing (song name)" Honestly, this was something I noticed just yesterday. I need to see if it's common across all FM channels.

The first hint of a problem seems to be creeping up - is it connected to what's happening above? 98.3 is saved on memory 5 while Fever 104 is saved on memory 6. As I shift through channels using my steering control's, every channel shifts correctly till I reach Fever 104 on memory 6. When I press the 'forward' button, system plays 98.3 Radio Mirchi saved on memory 5 instead of going to 91.1 Radio one saved on memory 1. One more 'forward' press and it's back to Fever. Same thing happens with the back button. Seems like it's stuck shifting between these two channels. when I change to 91.1 on the stereo and then use steering control's everything works normally till we reach Fever and then the same story repeats.

If I play CD the control's work normally so it seems restricted to FM. Haven't checked with USB yet.

Maybe disconnecting the negitive of the battery and connecting it again 10 minutes later will reset the system? What's going on here?
