Hmmm so here is my first long trip with my babe[Delhi to AMbala cantt on nov 1st,starting at 5 in the morning].

The odo reading

The morning glory.

We ran an hour late and started off ouyr long trip to ambala at 5 in the morning via Delhi chandigarh highway.

Who knew theres lot more stored in for us than merely a trip.

50 kms past delhi i reached my fav place to enjoy Parantha baked in country made ovens.

MURTHAL

And hence i could not prevent myself from revealing to my family the secret behind this place-Our favorite destination in the late nights while doing night shift duties in hospital in west delhi.LOLs

We checked the time,it was 6 in the morning and we had to move ahead with our plans after a greta treat of Paranthas, lassi and country made makkhan[butter].

Speeding at 120 kmph [avg of 90 kmph] i was moving behind a corolla,

almost an instant after i saw the tacho for RPM,i realised the corolla steered left and right to avoid something on the road.

Poor me i had little time and the heart to steer that rashly to avoid what i saw huge chunk of pork[lols]

I saw a pig lying in blood obstructing my way.

I almost lost hopes when one big piece of its intestines [sorry cant help being a doc] for my front skirting ,but i moved over it without touching it,

NExt instant i had to manuever the car left and right to avoid that heavy built pig lying in tatters.

I gained control with little difficuty and ofcourse ABS under the hood.

And came Dads' scoldins pouring over me who sat behind me.

Phew i gained confidence and moved forward.

Within 15 mins of near escape from a near disaster[where i would have lost my cars engine-"Pig meyhem"],i was busy feeling the steering and trying to find out why someone on the forum said that there is some EPS issue.

NEver mind i didnt find one.[not at all]

100kmph,I saw there was a little allignment issue,Focused my attention on the steering which i found was tilting towards right [only in .mm]

Thud !

i heard a tweaking metal sound from left side and slowd down wihtout applying much brake force. The car had not lost any contorl. So thought there must be something weirdly insane to have happened after mins of what i had experienced a few kms from MURTHAL.

Came off my seat and saw the rear left tyre had a full deflation, and my heart pounded to the sight.

Are my sweet alloys damaged.

A thought ran in my mind-  "Look here at the sturdy Alloys which ran almost 50 meters on bare road without a scratch on the rims, and foolish me look at you.Why do you need 17 inch after market alloys with low profile."

And to my horror,I opened the boot to find the other tyre with little pressure.

Top it up with missing tools.

Phew,i almost thought ,dad is gonna kill me.

But like always he behaved in an unpredictable manner and was more supportive than ever.

After half an hour of ordeal we managed to find a tyre repair shop on the other side of the busy highway.

Never mind he had a 19 # spanner which ultimately proved more than a bliss.

We began with lifting the car by jack [luckily that wasnt missing]

And finally someone came to us asking for a lift!

Donkeys.Cute ones. They were really saying more than they could from their eyes.Dumb me!!!

One important lesson i learned, never expect your new car to be complete without you personally checking it!

Second important note:

What looked to me was more surprising.A lesson worth learning.

The tubeless tyres have the ability to keep the puncture[nail or metal part] for a while before you notice a Puncture/deflation![which itself is slow process of deflation with minimum air escaping the tyres along the side of the embedded needle/nail/metal scrap]

Well when i saw the puncture sight the tyre where puncture was there had a big hole without the nail in place.

REASON: Well the puncture didnt happen on this stretch of road,It was there previously.[in my knowledge, considering the clean highways]

The tyre after getting heated up to an extent from the traction friction became soft enough for the nail to disembarke from its place hence the result=full deflated tyres.

Lesson to be learned=No matter how good these tubeless be to you, never drive beyond your capacity to control the vehicle when a full flat tyres occur to you in the high speeds.

Rmemeber after a fall of sufficient pressure from the tubeless tyres the whole tyre collapses due to escaping air from the sides which no longer adhering to the rims.

Time check:8:30 am,After getting both the tyres fixed ,We moved ahead.

With me explaining what could be the reason and ofcourse sharing my facts with dad of a possible cause of the deflation.

This pic is minutes after the repair. The wheather remained somewhat cloudy throughout the day.

HEavy duty load!

We reache ambala at 11 am after a tough ride.

With almost all the possible mishaps that could have seriously affected us,we reached safely.

Return trip pics will follow soon with one of the saddest scene to have happened in front of my eyes.

keep watching for more.

I saw this happen in front of my eyes and felt so sorry for the guy sitting at driver side without wearing seat belt and car not equipped with ABS.

Guys please wear seat belts.

And if at all you can manage to buy a car with ABS and Airbags,do go for these safety features rather than fancy loooking car.

I never feel like driving a non ABS and Non airbag car.

Not just because of the High speed driving when you have empty roads but also when time is not on your side and you run out of luck.

Accidents happen more often at high speeds and due to errant drivers.

Whos fault is it anyway?Innocent

Finally its time to come back from Ambala.LOLz.

The traffic at Panipat was such a Chaos!Felt so teeny weeny between those Lorry drivers who were like royal kings, not letting anyone pass through. Finally some eye treat and realisation that it will be dark soon.Time to hurry up!

But wait whats this?Oh god,Save that soul. This wagon R had hit an Autorickshaw loaded with Sacks, came from wrong side of the divider from no where and the driver had not time to apply his skills to avoid the collision. No seat belts as well.

A meyhem that surely put all the vehicles in lower gears to witness what happens on most of the times when somebody else is responsible for a close shave with death.

"ALWAYS ALWAYS WEAR SEAT BELTS AND AVOID TRAVELLING AT HIGH SPEEDS AND CLOSE TO THE DIVIDER,YOU NEVER KNOW HOW IDIOTIC AND DANGEROUS OTHERS CAN BE!!!"

Anyways lesson learnt. You are in big que, kindly proceed accordingly.Kindly note my thumb,it almost always finds itself fiddling with the horns. If horns were to consume Petrol-then i might be the one reporting the guiness book for lowest mileage.LOLz

Please maintain distance, you are at your own when you bump.

And finally cruising at 140kmph speed from [not all the way],reached back in Delhi at 7 pm IST.

And yes by the time i reached back home manipulating the city traffic,i almost ran out of energy and the terrible back pain that made me realise once again=

1.Always check your spare wheels and tools before leaving for a trip.

2.Drive safely and with eyes open all the time, without a second of distraction[Pig meyhem]

3.Sleep well the previous day.

4.Dont take these highways for granted, they have lot many surprises.

5.Always wear seat belts.

6.Never trust your tyres, they can blow your expectations in no time, and at high speeds all the more.

happy motoring.

Just a show stopper towards the end.

this one from Kingfisher plane high above the blue sky, almost like a wonderland, peaceful quite and not even any close to Chaos!Innocent
