Hey guys. I own a 2006 model Fusion.

I am thinking of upgrading the audio system. Does anyone have a clue about what's the make or type of the original speakers installed by the manufacturer. The HU is a disaster. But, the speakers are just OK.

Also I ve read about diff. types and sizes of speakers that could be installed in Swifts,Santros, Wagon Rs...etc etc...in this forum. But does anyone really has any idea about what size ( I mean max. size) of speakers can be put into Fusion's front and rear doors.

Any Fusion owners from Mumbai/Navimumbai...??

What is the budget and what all are you planning to change?

6.5'' can be accomodated on the front doors.

hi ami...,

well I am planning to change the HU for sure, cos the present one is Vintage...

but I m really not sure if i want to change the speakers. Maybe I cud improve the performance of the curent speakers by installing an amplifier...???

Well about the budget ,honestly, I really am not the kind who wud throw away money, but at the same time I would spend enough to get decent sound quality, if not the best... You r most welcome to suggest the most economic solution to me,if you want.

Thanks ami.

A decent 4 channel amp starts at 5k.

A decent components start at 4k.

HU with USB starts at 5k.

I would prefer upgrading the speakers before you upgrade the HU or install the amp. After speakers I would think of HU. Then amp if needed.

but ami,

can u pls. let me know, why are you insisting on changing the speakers first? Cos, like i said, they aren't really that bad you know ,like, there is no jarring even at high volumes for eg..! Ok the bass maybe less. And that's why I want to ask you again, won't it be possible to improve the performance of the current speakers with the help of an amp.?

nywayz..thnks for your input.!

Generally the OEM speakers aren't that good. So that is why I recommended that way.

If you are confident on your OEM speakers then change the HU first.

I am a lil apprehensive on adding an amp to the OEM speakers. Coz their power handling will be generally low.
