I got 14+ mileage in city for my Ritz before first service (in the running-in period) and after first service, it droooopped to 12+ Frown. Thanks to my changed driving style after service, i used to change gear by 2K rpm before and now its power driving and i can't really stop revving till 3k Embarassed. But the least average i got was not below 12. I'm sure if you drive as in your running-in period you get the best figures.

And i asked the service guys if they do any tuning for mileage and they said for these new engines, there is nothing like mileage tuning and there is nothing to adjust and all. How far is this info correct?

From all members views and my discussions with my friend circle I have come to conclusion that I have to wait for next service to get improved mileage as i have done only 600km till which may be insufficient to judge correct mileage,as far as my driving style is concerned i am driving maruti 800 since 1996  and getting very good mileage even i am trying best to improve it,most of my friends havng  alto,santro,i10,ritz new cars also having same experiences with less intial mileage at purchase level so i can say  for me "umeed pur duniya kayam hey" pl keep on  sending your valuable suggestions as it helps not only for better driving but also increase knowledge and i want to add that whatever knowledge i got for my problem is from this forum or from my friend circle and company failed to respond my e mails which shows the poor customer care

@Abyshines

I own a new Estilo (Kseries). I have checked the mileage 4 times. It is between 16 - 18 kmpl. Driving- 50:50 in city and highway.

AC: Also 50:50.Smile

My car has digital Fuel indicator. The last level blinks when fuel level is low. I have checked mileage by noting the KM at which blinking starts, then i fill 10L, then note the KM when blinking reappears. I did this 4 times.

Hi,

Again I got 13.2 kmpl in city with a.c. from my Spark LT (When car & a.c was on for minimum 25 minutes).

Generally I use 3rd in Spark @20kmph speed ofcourse with a.c. on. No jerk, nothing.

I use only Clutch & Brakes in Spark if traffic is not smooth.

I would like to add, Fuel Tank Capacity of Spark is over 45ltrs.. may be 47-48 ltrs. After auto cut it takes another 12 ltrs upto the mouth of nozel. 100% sure!

Good to hear you mate...

I expected it to give that Mileage...

I always knew that Estilo is a Silent killer...Its just ,our expectations have gone for a new level=Ritz...

Otherwise Estilo is a Real Steal Deal...Innocent

Try to drive your Spark in 5th gear and you will find no jerk at all. 28kmph without any jerk in 5th gear.

No car is a white elephant...SO i finally moved in to CNG...

Aby, if anybody's car can be called a 'white elephant', it has to be your's for sure! - both color and size.. ;)

@PK: shift points is something like this - your manual will tell you, what speeds one has to use what gear. This information is car model specific, and I wanted to know that data for spark.

Also I am eagerly looking forward to your service date, so that we can get some update on the FE front. Don't forget to crib strongly to the sevice engineer - ask him you want him to 'improve mileage'... it helps to crib big time!
