I have started this thread a year ago when i purchased spark ps and i was having problems with mileage but after one year and two service i am getting 15 mileage in delhi city conditions and 18 mileage on highway and i am very satisfied with this car far better then other cars in terms of mileage, quality of material, qualtiy of after sale service,so i advice all spark owners to wait for atleast two first services to get proper mileage and do not panic for initial low mileage

@pkd8 - Please don't get me otherwise, but I guess its not the car but the driver that has imporved!

Dear friend you may be right but as far as driving is concerned i have maruti 800 before this spark from 2000 to 2009 and i was getting very good mileage on that car also but on purchase of new spark i was intially shocked to see its mileage but now i am getting almost the same mileage with this new car as compare to maruti only difference is that in old car ac is almost useless and now ac is working fine and i personaly feel that my driving skills has not change much in these 10 years but the ultimate result is that i am enjoyig spark now with good mileage

@pk8d - I got a spark myself around a month back and after driving about 500km I am getting a FE of around 10.. Almost the same as you reported at the begining of this thread..   Seeing the final results that you have reported I am a bit relieved, and hopeful of some FE improvement after 1st and 2nd servicing..  Btw, all of my the 500km drive has been in city trafic thus far, and I am new at driving as well..

Will appreciate if you can tell me if the FE of your vehicle improved after 1st service or was it only after 5000 kms that it started giving proper mileage ?

Hi all !!!

I purchased Spark LS about 2 & half years back and due to some reason it has run only about 2800 km. I did all the servicing due as per schedule.

Npw my problem is, it is giving a very poor milage of about 9 - 9.5 kmpl without AC in Kolkata roads even when there is average traffic. In my servicing, I complained about it but the service people said it does not look like having that poor milage and if I want to confirm - I will have to pay for the FE Test.

I hard that Spark is a fuel efficient car - may not be as good as maruti. But 9 - 9.5 kmpl without AC is a very poor performance. I may have to sale off my car if it consumes like that.

Can anyone from Kolkata confirm their milage? In this situation, what to do to improve fuel efficiency of the car? What is average milage without AC in Kolkata? Does GM has a number to clarify their views?

Thnx.
