Hi pawan....

If you follow like mentioned below then you will get good mileage/performance..

1000kms--- Both oil, and over all inspection(includes checking belt tensions, greasing wherever required, under hood cleaning, tyre pressure, stepny tyre pressure, brakes etc)

If you insist them(service guys) for oil change and inspection they will do that ... It will take less than two hrs for both

5000kms--- same as above

10000kms--- same as above+spark plugs

20000kms---same as above

After every 10000 kms just follow the same what i mentioned for 10000km of course in every service you should include over all inspection and another thing Dont mix water with coolant , if you mix after long run it will spoil your cylinder head..

Same procedure i told to customers when i was working(long ago) in dealership i got good response for that....

Hi all,

I am planning to buy a new spark and after reading the article on FE,  i feel its just the way people drive would determine the FE. Could someone suggest me what all things need to be taken care of when bargaining with the dealer.

The current discount is Rs 45K on new spark and am planning to buy LS model. Could someone suggest what all free accessories the dealer gives or can be negoitated. Also need to know what is the interest rate available and which bank would be better? I stay in mumbai and plan to buy from National garage, mahalaxmi.. Anyone has experience with this and do let me know.

Would appreciate if i get a response on this.. many thanks!!

regards,

sanjay

Sanjay ls is top model and it has all accessories,45k discount is of gm motors and not dealer,u can be said of free key chain mating etc but that too is included in logistic charges,if u are a corporate of govt employee u can get 4k extra discount, anywaykeep all tensions away and go for spark it is best car in its segment and u must enjoy its driving as per my experience in last 3 months of purchase

Correction: Top model of Spark is Spark LT.

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

Friends,

This is is my first post to carwale Laughing

I currently own a Palio 1.2 and planning to replace it by a 'Small car' as my better half wants to have a car which is small and handy in city.

My priorities are

1. Handling: Power steering, less turning radius

2. Build Quality - Should be strong and rattle free ( Reason: 8 out of 20 km per day is through a 'HELL' like road.. ROAD..... i have to find some other word for that.. My Palio barely manged to be rattle free...)

3. Comfort and convenience

4. Good mileage (can be compromised)

5. Reliable

6. ASS which meets my expectations (A good car does not need any..Wink)

So my search started and after a lot of calculations and head scratching; two came qualified for the final verification.

New ZEN ESTILO and SPARK

Now my obervations based on test drive

Handling:On low speeds estilo felt like having a much more softer steering. Small finger job. For sparky, its  smooth but needs a bit more effort than estilo. But as the speeds increase, the story changes. Estilo is too sensitive and NO FEEDBACK. It felt totally disconnected. But on the other Hand Sparky is very direct and gives a very good feedback. I think the Hydraulic Pow Steering has shown its class here.

For handling 1 for estilo but +1 for spark.

Build Quality - Chasis and body: here comes the real story. The estilo which I have test driven has 4450 kms onboard and sparky with 11300. BUT when driven I was terribly disappointed with ESTILO, I have never ever expected a demo car to get this much of rattles within 4500 kms. Actually when I checked a new estilo in showroom, I was impressed by the quality of gear shift. One of the best Maruti has ever made. BUT in the test car, some sort of tinkliing noise keeps on coming from the gear lever even on smooth roads. On the other hand sparky was virtually rattle free even after 11,000 kms. Only annoying thing is the loud noise the rear suspension produces on potholes. It felt as if the rear tyres have fallen apart.

For Build quality -2 for Estilo and +1 for Spark
