Have u already got the first service done? Most dealers ask u to wait for atleat first two services before actual (desired) mileage can be achieved....further mileage depends a lot upon one's driving habits and driving conditions...

Next service after 6 months ?

P.K, the 1st serivce is at around 1,000 kms in all cars. This generally occurs within the 1st two months itself.

I am sure the FE would increase once you get your car serviced. So nothing to worry as of now.

Relax buddy. Enjoy driving your new car! not to worry about FE now. Stick to manufacturer's service specs, not what the dealership guys say. Drive safe.

I am not sure if he has already got the 1st service done.

If yes, then i don't think it was a very nice idea. Dealers/servie centres try and convince the new owner to get it serviced asap, so that they could collect their "free coupons" and then they actually Do NOTHING in that service and redeem those free coupons for money !

True. I had this experience of dealership guys asking me bring the car on a particular day.  As I had read the owner's manual back to back like a novel, I kept to the schedule as mentioned in the warraanty booklet.  I hope Pk does as oer the warranty booklet, atleast after reading our posts!

Got it?

FE was checked by keeping the view of amount of petrol purchased and for that petrol how many kms car runs then it comes that it comes 10kmpl for this new car  for last 2-3 times which is a matter of worry because prior to this car i was having maruti 800 ac which gives nice average of 15kmpl so from 15kmpl to 10kmpl i am feeling bad in view of my expense of fuel consumption in long time if as per experts fuel average is not improved in coming time for spark

PK try the auto cut off method. Set the trip meter to zero when u visit the filling station for refuelling. Add the fuel till it auto cuts off. Next note the trip meter reading when u go for refuelling the next time. Again fill the fuel till it auto cut offs. Now note down the quantity of fuel filled. This trip meter reading divided by the quantity of fuel filled shall give u an accurate assessment of the FE of your vehicle.

Hi everybody, same with me also.Used to have 14/15 kmpl in Wagon R. But now my new Spark is giving 11/12 kmpl in city without AC,and 13/14 on high roads.Dealer says will improve after 2nd service.(1st service is done). Then why is it mentined to be 18.5kmpl in the manual?I think this is simple bluffing and marketing gimmick and nothing else. We should go and sue GM for bluffing us.
