Guys, be prepared yourself for Bharuch Ttraffic jam (after Toll plaza and bridge) and plan your travel time, accordingly. My advice would be to avoid driving in night, cause the traffic really gets busier in evening hrs, before entering into Mumbai and ofcourse after entering Mumbai (specially around Thane bypass).

Done. May be I wanted to satisfy my original itch for car travel by hopping on to Pankaj's. I knew there was some mismatch in timings, but was not sure (navigation on this thread is becoming cumbersome by the day!)

So Pankaj, you can forget the crazy idea. We will meet everyone earlier if we reach separately.

Krishna, we "carwale" could have started meet in car only.... Any ways...we will make it next time..Laughing

Grandeur...Very right...traffic jam at Golden bridge is very obvious..But, we can pass Bharuch-Ankleshwar easily as we will be early bird in the morning..

Krishna, lets go by everyone's advice.  It's practical too - else, we can get delayed (may be inordinately) due to traffic jam at Bharuch & Thane/Mumbai.  I have experienced that once before (bus journey).

Separately we will be reaching early in the evening - a couple of hours apart.

...tatkal got confirmed. (I see so on the web, but the printed ERS still shows CKWL 8 - Is that ok?)

Hope there's no confusion.

Dr, Is getting in to the mood friends.... & the others as well.

Krishna, hope this helps you.

You can try calling Meru Taxi 02244224422 or Mega Cabs 02242424242 once you reach Borivali. Being Early evening hrs I belive they will be available at the Bandra Terminus. This will certainly give you comfertable drop to Vashi rather then traveling in treditional Black & yellow cab( diff of appx Rs.2 per Km). Vashi shouldbe appx 30 km from dadar. Some one please correct me if I am wrong.
