I have a Diesel palio Model 2004. I am happy with the car except that the parts are expensive ( I paid Rs 7800 to replace central locking within 18 months) To my surprise, Tata is not selling Fiat diesel cars. Will I have problem of non availability of spares. If yes would you advice me to exchange my car. Let me tell you I am very happy with the car performance, Build, Mileage etc. I stay in Bangalore. I drive about a 1200km/month. I had seen this factory in Turin and I had my Fiat car earlier .I test drove this and liked this car.

Dear Sukesh, Like you, there are so many Fiat customers who don't know the future of Fiat in India. They deliberately bought their cars because they loved the Fiat products. They have always been thinking that Fiat will have a better stand in near future but unfortunately it never happened, moreover the condition became worse day by day. Fiat has fantastic products in its basket but has no idea how to sell them and how to satisfy the customers by the best after-sales-services. Palio, Petra and Adventure all are class-leaders today but we are so afraid that we don't suggest a single person to go for a Fiat. Because we simply don't want to play with their hard-earned money. We can not assure you anything about spares availability of Palio. However the chances are very less that you won't find them after few years. Since you are happy with the car, and if you sell it off, there is no guarantee that the new car will be satisfying you like this. Our suggestion is, you go and test-ride of some preferred cars of yours and decide whether they are satisfying you or not? If they are then put your car for sale otherwise don't. We are afraid that you might not get very good resale of your Palio too.
