Getz Prime

Hi All,

This is my first posting, i am palnning to buy my first car with in a budjet of 4 - 4.3 L (on road, B'lore), i have shorted listed Grtz Prime 1.1 GvS, i10Magna, Punto Active 1.2. iam very much keen to buy getz prime, but the same time so iam worried what will happen after its phase out next year? i.e, reasale after 3-4 years, spares, good service etc. pls help me with your valuable advice & suggetions to make my buy worth

I would suggest u stick to I10 Magna

Getz Prime GVS 1.1 has Low average 11 to 12 in city, 14 to 15 on highway.

Getz is not good in driving at low gear.  You have to continuously go gear shifting in Getz. due to which avg gets reduced drastically....

Getz 1.3 is a much better option

Getz 1.1 GVS is Santro engine with a much heavy body...

If you are ready to spend 1k more then i wud suggest i20 Magna base model of i20

avg 12 in city and 15 to 16 on Highway. Good replacement for Getz..

As an owner of Getz since one year, I second ketan's opinion on Getz. If you can stretch for I-20, it is the best option. For you budget I-10 scores ahead of all the cars. For space, you could also consider Vista saffire. All the best.

how about Punto Active 1.2? i have seen some on road, really hot car, but i juz wanna know the FE in city / highways. my daily usage is around 40-50 km in b'lore city & occational highway trips.

Punto a good car

FE in city is again 12kmpl

On Highway its 14 to 15

If possible have a look at i20 too then if u r streching ur budget for Punto

then i20 is much cheaper and FE is 13 kmpl in City with AC, highway it is 15 to 16 with AC

As said by many, Getz 1.1 is an underpowered car. The mmileage is low too. Please try out Vista, its a great car.

The AC in the the car is very noisy...

Space is not a problem...

On bumpy road i felt some jerks inside the car....

And the as Maruti and Hyundai cars.. The Power steering of Vista is not EPS(Electronic Power Steering) it has a Hydraulic Power steering.

U definetly require a diesel for ur usage.No petrol

Diesel will save u a lot of money for ur usage.

I would suggest u go for the Diesel Punto or Vista QJD or Vista TDI.

U will have to strech ur budget for both the vechiles.
