Hi there,

I am in the process of buying a 2007 Honda Civic from Noida (UP) registered in Chandigarh (Haryana). I am not going for any finance from bank.

I want to transfer this car to Nagpur (Maharashtra) after purchasing. Can anyone give me information on the transfer process and how much it will cost me?

The process of ownership transfer, NOC, Re-registration, Life time Tax and number change etc. The seller is willing to help me get the NOC, but he is not committing anything!!

Based on the cost involved I need to make the decision whether to actually buy the car or not??

Regards

Sandeep

As per practice generally followed, the seller arranges to get the NOC in such cases. In any case, ownership/name transfer will have to be effected & NOC (in your name) sought in favour of Nagpur RTO. Life-time tax will be payable on depreciated value assessed by RTO (Nagpur).

Please check finer details locally.
