hi everyone,

lot is said about Euro IV norms going to be implemented in India from April, 2010. My queries  (i) what would happen to passenger vehicles already bought and running on the road, since nothing can be done on their engine, can it be continued to be used, what type of petrol could be used in it (can new improved fuel be used in it).

(ii) i'm owning a Santro 2008 model, which norms would it meet, BS II or BS III.  A new version Santro is introduced recently in 2009, is it meeting Euro IV standard, what should i do with my old car, should i go for exchange at the earliest or keep it for several years.

(iii) If anyone knows what would be prescribed limits for CO2 and HC in the Euro IV norms. which all petrol cars are meeting this standard as of now, (i think, A Star, Ritz and i10 kappa are meeting it)

The cars already on road will stick to the orignal standards.Only cars which are manufactured later after the new norms are applied should obey the standards.
