Lots of confusion in buying my first car... can anyone help

Hi guys...

I would like to share my experience that i have during pdi... first of all i would like to say thanks to bhardwaj that he put such a nice doc on this forum for PDI. I took print of that and bold the topics... so that i can go through whole doc in less time...

so today i went to the showroom at 10 am in the morning to do PDI ... then asked sr. sales manager i would not pay single rs. till i finish my PDI so he asked his sales person and said that show sir.. his car and let him finish his inspection then we will do the paper work. so start was well...

so first thing i start with visual inspection as mentioned in the doc. this was just 2ed stag as per doc. and guys... here is the big twist... . this is my first car that i have already booked and it was having lots of issues in the visual inspection only...

first of all i found few scraches.. in the back side fo left mirror., secondly i found one more scrache below bootspace.. on the left hand side and at last i found that there was some diff. in the color.. on the right hand side below bootspace... keeping all this things in mind i found that there is something fishy so.. i asked sales person.. what is these all he said its normal scraches i will replace mirror if you want.. etc.. but i said the color diff sounds like this car already faced accident.. he said what a joke you are cracking... i said then why there is diff in color.. he said.. there is no color diff. at all ... and i bet that if i have not check it in the day light i may trust him... but i stick to my point and asked call any of the other staff member to confirm this.. he called one of his mechanic... i asked him the same question..  why there is diff in color.. he said yes there is diff. so now i have one person from tata's staff who agrees to me thank God... then suddenly i see the hook cap was not there.. which used to be there in new car as this cap will be broken only if car has hanged somewhere ... and this normaly used in case of accident only... so this make my doubt confirmed that car is damaged piece...

i asked to cancel my booking.. then sr. manager came and handle the situation he asked me to go to stock yard.. and check other peices and select one myself.. I agree to him and went to stock yard i pick one out of other two and it was not having a single -ve point.. as per pdi doc... so finally i was happy  to do PDI i took help of one of the tata mechanic as in the morning one of them helped/saved me ...and over here in second car selection also one nice guy helped me a lot.. i gave him 100 rs.. and feel very relex.. as he demo all the point i asked him..

finally i paid all amount and do all the paper work.. and i will get delivery once the money got transfered to tata's dealers a/c so.. now waiting for next week when i will get my first car
