Hi All,

I would like to take a car before Dussera. My budget is 4 - 4.5 Lacks. My monthly average running could be around 1200KMs.

How about to think of LPG car? Can you please educate me the Pros and Cons of LPG cars?

I know that LPG will reduce my monthly fuel expences. But I don't know the impact on engine by using LPG.

Also please suggest me the good one within my budget.

Regards,

Sri Vandan.

Hi Sridhar,

Though my knowledge about LPG is not good but I can share some info.

LPG will reduce your monthly bill for sure. No major impact on the Engine because LPG is in liquid form.

Performance on LPG mode is not as good as petrol but difference is not much. I dont think you will feel too much difference in normal driving.

Now about best LPG option in your budget... Without any doubt Chevrolet Spark. Good car, good interiors and latest sequential kit which is having less power loss. Spark is having 63Ps power but on LPG mode it delivers 60PS. Mileage around 13kmpl.

Performance of Spark is better than Wagon-r duo, both Power (PS) and Torque. Also Spark is generating power on less rpm too as compare to Wagon-r.

People dont change when you tell them that there is a Better option... They change when they realise that there is No Other Option..

Another advantage of LPG is the wide availability of LPG as compared to CNG. This is a definite plus point.

Cons: less KM on a tankful compared to diesel/petrol. Mean more visits to refill stations
