Never go for CNG/LPG its dry fuel and damages the engine faster compared to petrol.

If one is strict for mileage ALTO is the option.

But one is looking for performance and overall package SPARK is option. The on road price starts from 2.9L if you from New Delhi go to Auto Vikas Motinagar.

Can't tell for Navi Mumbai , you ill have to check advertisement in newspaper.

But the dealer discounts are very good, ask for corporate discount also if you are in service, so looking at discounts i don't think one requires more.

Just remember one thing you will have to go to best dealer of your city.

Hi Sachin,

I suggest you go ahead and buy the alto. Its a more efficient and reliable car.Not that the spark is bad.It actually comes with a 3yr warranty. Its performance is very good but it is soon going to have a facelift. So if you dont mind that your spark gets outdated then go for the spark.

I would like to add, No facelift before 2010-11.

New Spark will not replace existing Spark, I have seen the car, too good but looks bigger too and with kind of Interiors shown in pictures dont expect you will get @4lacs

Spark mini car is coming this year with 800 Cc engine.

If replacement is a point of view than one can see New Alto (A-star) is on roads but still old Alto is available.

Spark is definitely better than Alto and in league of Santro, Wagon-r & Estilo.

@ sanchit,

go for the spark as it is a much better car than the alto. it has very good performance & ride quality & its build quality is also very good & superior.

alto does not have any features except the ac & power steering whereas in spark ull get all the features & ull get a very good discount & offers on it plus ull get a 3 yrs maintainance package free.

47k Discount + maintenaince But is the discount from the dealer or from the company? on all model i.e LS OR LT??

Will the same discount in mumbai also? which is a gd dealer to visit around mumbai?

Wheather the SPARK service centres are present in small towns like kolhapur??

But all the input on SPARK is really encouraging..........

Thanks to you all !
