The discounts generally carry on till Diwali (all cars).

Actually as far as riding comfort is concerned spark is superior, but mileage and spare parts availability is better in Alto.

maruti have their service stations all over.one cannot guarantee that about chevy. So if you are a frquent visitor to your hometown and you want to be on the safer side,i feel you should go for Alto. But i think spark is a good car and you wont face any trouble.Plus safety wise Spark has a very well designed and a stong and reliable chasis compared to  Alto.Spark is a good choice if your are a tall person else you will struggle big time in an Alto.

Dont go for the discounts or free maintenance schemes. They are just marketting gimmicks.Spark has a very poor mileage compared to such a small car.I used to get 15kmpl in my wagon R and 16/17 in Alto where as my new Spark runs only 11/12 kmpl.If riding qulity is the preference then go for swift/Ritz.

These are not marketing gimmicks ##

SPARK is performing very well and better than many other cars.

Maruti service network was an important parameter 4/5 years back not now because others have improved a lot as numbers of cars on roads of others companies are increasing.

SPARK mileage is very good and people are getting 14 with AC on city and 18 with AC on highways.

At same time SPARK is very stable at high speeds.

Cashless maintenance upto 45,000 km is fabulous offer.

However if one wants to go for Wagon R/Estilo there is no harm, but SPARK is best buy at present.

Hi Guys,

Finally after doing lot of research i booked Chevy Spark LS model. Thanks to all.

I am getting this car in bangalore at Rs 359612 - 4000 (corporate disc) , non mettalic blazing red color.  As per GM advitisement they are also giving 5000 rs of accessories free. And the sales guy have promised to give further steering cover, body cover and anteena. I am planning to get remote locking + sunfilm for that 5000rs. I think this is the best deal.

Please advise me in that 5000rs what accessories we should be getting.

you  can go for the wooden finish on the dashboard for around 1300Rs.... it really looks great....you can also go for couple of neck rests, around 200Rs each, if you dont have them already ... if you want to go for the seat cover, i suggest go for that fabric one costing 3k since it really suits the beige interiors

i too have booked spark, the LT model though :P ... where have you made the booking in bangalore ? ... i didnt get any additional assurances like free body cover/steering cover, etc.... if you can share the name of the salesman/salesgirl, that wud be really helpful for me ;)

all the best with your new car ... when is your date of delivery ?

Definitely go for the wood finish, Spark with beige interiors looks fabulous after wooden finish. I got the same @800 from outmarket for my LT with grey interiors in 2007.

Here in showroom they are asking 1000/- for the same if anybody wants that woodfinish touch.

all the best!
