Feroz, it’s really so nice of you to bring this aspect to the fore.

I entered this informatively addictive forum when I was in search of my long aspired dream-machine. Since this was my first ever query, I was very apprehensive about the terminology, the etiquettes, rules to be followed while participating in such forums. To my happiness, I not only received instant replies and advices to my queries, I also was very encouragingly guided through the entire process of ICEing my car. The MODs are also tremendously helpful in their own honest and modest ways and keep the interest in the forum alive.

I have immensely benefitted by not only reading, but also participating in the forums with my  various unusual queries on different issues.

I had the opportunity to meet a few of the great people associated with different aspects of Carwale Community in the Mumbai Meet and I can boast to be one of the family and also the only female active member of the forum.

I must say that I have very limited knowledge of cars or anything related to cars for that matter, but my learning graph has sure been upwards since I joined this forum.

I am so taken by this forum that I stayed back even after my queries were solved. I am also, mostly in the “Read-Only” mode, as Anshu has put it, but I like to “keep connected”, by contributing what little I can, in various threads.

I would like to sincerely request all the readers to participate and share their knowledge & experiences (whatever) and enrich others by contributing in the forum.

I am sure this is the situation or perfect statement for most of us here in carwale forum.

As there were no replies to this thread after Gaurav's, I thought the readers have neglected this thread. But to my amazement I saw the rush in activity here today.

Expect more posts from members like Jayanna, Jay Sheth and Ababa.

I second the opinion of Jay regarding jokes thread. I think as most of us are receiving umpteen emails with such jokes our level of decency might have come down automatically.Surprised

The suggestion/s on jokes thread has been noted and replied to before. We can have further discussion/suggestions, if any (on Jokes Thread), in the Help us Improve section. This is to ensure that the subject matter of this thread is not diverted.

I take this opportunity to once again request inactive members & silent readers to come forward Smile

The forum has been a learning place for me. I was a n00b with interest when I came. Now I can call myselves an amateur.

My suggestion to all: start interacting and giving suggestions. If you are in doubt somewhere, mention that. Other who know will rectify it. This is how I started up. I have made lots of blunders in the beginning. Thanks to Binoy & Pankaj & others, it never became huge disasters. So I would request all of you to make a 'small' step. Give your views and suggestions. Dont hesitate thinking that it will be small.

Always remember 'Small drops make an ocean'.

Hope to see more participation and thereby raising our forums even high.

@Feroz: Nice of you to have started the thread. Lets all get to see the silent members.

Hi Feroz & all the members of CW,

I am Sam (name changed for personal reasons), still few may know me by my original name. As Feroz mentioned, since last few weeks, i'm inactive. The reasons that he mentioned all are applicable for me also. I'm bit lazy on typing, unless its my favorite topic. Everyday i visit here, but hardly i participate.

But this i would say that CW is the best place to be. After visiting here, i have visited many forums, but no one have impressed me the way CW has impressed. I have gained lots of knowledge from here. All the members are doing a great job here, esp all the moderators n the seniors. Keep doing this great job.

I m quite a philosophical guy, which makes me very much selective. I hardly like to suggest anyone any particular model, coz i believe that car is a dream, it has got very much emotional importance in human life. So i feel let them decide. But this i wud like to suggest all the buyers that all the vehicle are good, its them who to find which one will suit them. and for that CW is the best place to visit.

And Feroz, u have done a great job by awakening others. Keep doing this best job.

Rgrds,

Severus Sam
