In fiesta the petrol is more fun to ride. In i20 it is the diesel.

Need to check Jazz mate thanks.

But, a general question that knocks my head is, are diesel preferred for occasional driving? Once in a week... may be.

today's diesel's are very much refined & is not necessary that they muct be driven daily or all the time, the main reason behind buying a diesel is to save monthly running costa who have more of running,  but here though ur running is less but u like fusion only & are compromising on the other car that i think is not true.

if u are ok with other options than it is fine but as u said that u want fusion only & disappointed due to discontinuation of its petrol variant than i would suggest go in for the diesel fusion which is the car of ur choice & convinience.

& if u are ready to pay a bit more for the diesel variant than y not go for it man.

u r buying a car for ur self, so u should buy the one u like only, this is a matter of many years & daily convinience, suppose if u compromise & buy somr other car & after using that car uu feel that fusion would had been a better choice than ur money has also been waste & u are npt happy from heart also.

so this is just my way of thinking, that if u like fusion only than go in for the fusion diesel & if happily u are open to other choices without any compromises than only look out for other options.

Now economically speaking your use only needs a petrol. However the pleasure in a diesel cant be expressed in money terms alone

I am using Ford Fiesta & infact we are using 3 ford cars. I would like to inform that Maintenance of Fusion is higher than the Fiesta. Few parts of Fusion are costly as compare to Fiesta & Ikon's similar parts. Infact bumpers are also costly.

For limited use, Prefer a Petrol Car. 1.6S is an amazing car, the best in its segment when it comes to Ride & Handling.

Maintenance of Ford is not much now.

As far as Fusion is concern, I call it mini SUV, offers great comfort and getting in & out is very easy in fusion. Just sit at driver's seat and a special feel is there in Fusion. Great comfort! If you like Fusion only than you can for for Fusion TDCi. Trusted Fiesta's engine. Somebody covered 80k in a year and I met him at Ford's service centre. He told me Fusion is gem and he added I know about Fusion little more than even these service guys)

Practically expect 10kmpl in busy city traffic with 100% a.c.

My friend is getting almost similar mileage from his 1.6 SXi.

If you plan to stretch till the Jazz, then do look at i20 diesel.

i20 has low sitting postio hence may be difficult for some who has knee probelm. In and out of i20 is not that comfortable.
