Fuel Economy of Indica Turbo and Palio Diesel

Given a choice between Indica Turbo Dls and Palio 1.9 Diesel, which one would you recomend ?

Dear Vikrant, Indica Turbo beats Palio Diesel in maximum aspects be it performance, city driving, resale, after-sales-services or value for money. Turbo-charged Indica engine is considerably faster than Palio's. Title of your question points that you are more concerned about fuel economy of the two. Both cars have almost identical mileage, still Fiat Palio 1.9 is somewhat more economic. Our recommendation is Tata Indica Turbo.

I agree very much that in terms of resale, after sales and service, Indica Turbo is the right choice. But in looking at the Fiat Engine technology, 1900 CC, spacious, features and almost low maintaince as compared to Indica Turbo, I understand that Palio is far ahead. Please send your views. I do not wish to change my car for 5 years after I purchase it.

Dear Vikrant, Despite of having a 1.9L engine Palio Diesel's performance is not as good as Indica Turbo's. Indica Turbo's turbo-charged engine performs very well over Palio Diesels. We don't find Palio more spacious than Indica either. Both cars are almost similar in space. As far as features are concerned, you have to pay for them. Palio is almost 1 lakh costlier than Indica. Palio has a good build quality though and it is the only reason to buy it. By all means we find Indica a far better deal.
